I love the way you wrote this (and the inclusion of the audio recording).... its evident that you have the gift of storytelling. Thank you for sharing this story... it feels good to know I'm not alone in the battle. When perfectionism weaseled it's way into my art.... it became obligatory.... stifling... the reason I didn't pick up a paintbrush for years at a time... robbing me of the joy that creativity brings.
